ahh i see :-), again i am split on that one! it depends on the style of the site you are building. An exciting / 'not the norm' nav can really make a site stand out from the others. You can get around using images for the nav using text indent -5000 in the style sheet, so if the css is turned off the text will still appear.

Anyway, good idea for a site TH will keep checking for new content.

Thanks

Hi Matt,

I have seen that article before I really liked it, I do agree large backgrounds can work but I think cassandra meant was for her navagation etc she uses images instead using CSS to make it all text based.

Hi

Cassandra site looks great, but i agree with TH, try to avoid tables for layouts. I like the use of large images on the site.

C & TH - I look at Nick La's sites regularly (one above) as i think his work is so cool, and here is a link for websites that use very large images in their sites to show it can work.

Cheers

Thanks Cassandra, I think your site looks great, nice clean and simple but you have used tables for layout and a lot more images than you should of. Watch out for my HTML/CSS Tutorials ;)
